Found in Asia, centipedes are carnivores, which means they eat meat. In the wild they eat insects but also eat mice, bats and birds. In captivity we feed them insects.
- Live up to 10 years.
- Egg layers (they lay 20+ eggs a year)
- Adults can reach 25 centimetres.
- Habitat being tropical rainforests.
- Nocturnal arthropod with a chitinous exoskeleton.

Centipedes have one of the worst bites of any invertebrate, people have said it’s the most extreme pain they have ever felt. Some people have been known to pour boiling water over the wound, to try and get rid of the pain.
