Land Crab
Land Crabs
Gecarcinus lateralis
Found near the Atlantic coast throughout Central America these crabs are largely herbivores, which means they eat fruit and vegetables but they do scavenge on animal mater if available. In the wild they feed on algae, fruit, fish and shrimp. In captivity we feed them fresh fruit and vegetables with mealworms.
