Found in Florida and Georgia in North America eastern indigo snakes are carnivores feeding on rodents and other snakes in the wild including rattle snakes as they are immune to their venom. In captivity we feed them dead adult mice and rats.

These are the largest snake in North America and are called indigo snakes due to the iridescent pattern they give off in natural sunlight, normally being black in colour they look purple or indigo under these conditions.
