African Mountain Snail
Achatina marginata

Found on higher grounds in Africa, mountain snails are herbivores, only eating plant matter. Snails cause widespread problems by eating the crops grown by farmers. The farmers in turn then eat the snails. We feed our snails on romaine lettuce, cucumber, apple.

Crazy Fact!

They lay clutches of large yellow eggs that are the size and appearance of bird's eggs.
